NOM NOM

The goal of this project was to create a mobile app that would help to inspire, organize and prepare meals.

The NomNom app helps you with all of this and  even has some custom features where you can look for options  for ingredients that would go to waste and still look for local markets or producers.

This project had three very important phases that were fundamental for the final product to be the desired one:

Desk Research

We spoke with the millennial generation, as they are the ones who use this type of applications and have the most need to plan their meals.

"Eat with their mobile phone first"

- The smartphone is present at all stages of the culinary journey;

- They feel it is important to be a conscious and socially responsible consumer;

- They prefer to shop with friends rather than alone.

- Despite being a group that likes discounts, they are increasingly looking for organic and natural products, regardless of the price.

- They look for local markets in order to support small suppliers. This allows them to get fresher and more natural options.

Interviews insights

The people interviewed like to taste “different” foods and some find it difficult to reproduce the recipes at home.

Food is a priority for the people interviewed, but they do not always have the time they would like to dedicate in the kitchen.

Group.png

There is a general concern about the nutritional information/quality of the ingredients chosen and also about the benefits that the food brings.

The people interviewed are concerned about the waste generated in the preparation of their meal.

She is 28 years old and has a degree in Biology. She loves nature and one of her main goals is to start the transition to a vegan diet.
Beta works a lot at her job and wants help planning her meals without giving her too much work.
It is very important for her to know exactly what she is eating and that its ingredients are of quality.
One of her biggest concerns every time she cooks is always the amount of waste associated with your meals.

It's necessary to reduce food waste in our daily lives and encourage nutritionally balanced diets!

User needs

In order to get closer to the user, we designed a table that reflects their needs and how we can respond to them. This process was very important for us to start designing the different features of the app.

Our App Map is the result of intensive research. After knowing the user's needs, we had to organize them into specific features.

Wireframes are a great tool that makes us understand if what we conclude in theory makes sense in practice. This is where the first drawings of our application appear. When the lo-fi wireframes are finished, it's time to move on to hi-fi wireframes where there is greater fidelity to the final product. Here sizes and volumes begin to be tested so that in the final phase it is only necessary to introduce colors, typography and some final touches.
